Matthew Hildebrandt is a self-taught contemporary artist residing on Salt Spring Island, BC.

Exploring themes of human beauty, body positivity, sexual inclusivity, breaking down mind boundaries, and the interconnectedness of all things, such as love, the joy of life, and our shared human stories and dreams.

Artist statement.
​
I truly love people and the inherent beauty and freedom of life. When I look at the trees and the sky and leaves and rocks and mosses, as well as all the human landscapes of skin and folds and wrinkles and hair and flesh, I can't get over how beautiful we all are, how we all belong to this beauty and each other. That's what I want to express through my art. You're fricken beautiful. You are life. And life is a pretty awesome thing to be.
